How are the pledges processed?
Once the campaign closes, your pledge will be run through a third-party website called BackerKit. This acts similar to an online store. In BackerKit, you can update your shipping address, track your package, and also add-on extra items to your order, before checking out. Shipping costs will be charged at check-out.

How much will shipping cost?
All pledges will be processed through BackerKit (a third-party website, similar to an online store) once the campaign is closed. We will calculate appropriate shipping costs at this time at check-out.
These are approximate shipping prices.
- USA and Canada = $28 CAD
- Rest of the World = $45 CAD
PLEASE NOTE – If you order a book AND playmat/prints, these items may need to be shipped separately, to avoid damages in transit. Each item added will increase the shipping cost.
If you are a fulfilment company in Europe, I’d be happy to hear from you and see how we can work together to lower shipping prices for Europe, Australia, China, Japan etc.
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to ship to Russia due to the ongoing conflict.

How is your film project going?
We’re going into production this fall! Finally! I will be sharing more news as we begin official prep! Casting is presently underway. Shooting starts October 1st, with locations in British Columbia and Newfoundland. I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been crafting!!! Perhaps I can share some sneak peak designs and test shoot footage during this campaign, depending on how things go!

Are you still doing work for Magic?
For now my work with Magic is paused. Once my film is done and released, I may be able to return! I still stay in touch and check in with the Magic creative team when I can. While I will always love illustration, I feel a deep calling towards filmmaking, and this is where I must put 100% of my focus. I’ve got one shot to make a stellar debut! The pressure is high.
This is why this book is so important to me; it may represent the “illustration era” of my artistic career. Era 2 will perhaps be more about filmmaking – but who knows what the future will hold!

Why such a high stretch goal for the playmats??? :(
Due to my heavy work load with the film, keeping the campaign simple and focused on the book seems like a wise move. That being said, if we reach the $200K stretch goal, I will be able to get more people involved to handle the logistics and all the extra work it entails. If ever we don’t reach the $200K goal, then we’ll launch a playmat/print campaign in 2025, while the film is undergoing post-production.

If I change my pledge, do I lose my spot in the first 500?
No. As long as you don’t CANCEL your pledge, you can switch tiers without losing your spot!

Adding Playmats or Prints
To add playmats or prints to a book pledge, you can either manually add $60 CAD per playmat or $35 CAD per print on top of your pledge. Alternatively, you can wait until BackerKit and add these add-ons before “checking out”.

When do I choose my print or playmat?
At the end of the campaign, in Backerkit. Backerkit is a pledge manager, similar to an online store. An invitation to BackerKit will be sent to all backers by email.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
